Who Am I?

Hi, I’m Jo Fernandez, Mindful Cleaning Co. is my passion project. Passion business.

I am a young adult trying to navigate life, community, and career.

I have worked in the construction, education, customer service, booking, cleaning, and home care industries.

Mental Health Advocacy has been a big part of my life since high school.

I am always brainstorming new ways to question the status quo within my work life.

I wanted a way to take my best qualities and passions, and use them to help others. While still being able to afford to live and avoid burnout.

I am trying my best, and I know that you are too.

I may not know how to write bios, but I know one thing for sure; even the strongest people need help.

Asking for help is one of the scariest things to do, so if I can help you on your journey to a cleaner home and a clearer mind… reach out today and let’s work together.

It all began with a common thought I have when thinking about [my] depression:

“If I could have had someone to help me maintain my physical space while I was at my lowest, I would've felt like I was drowning a little bit less.

I could've used that little bit of mental energy towards dreaming and remembering the things that brought me joy, rather than feeling even more worthless because I couldn’t do the simple task of keeping my room clean.”

My mission is to promote mental wellness by turning your living spaces into a clutter-free, organized, and clean environment.

My vision is to create a system of connection so that people who hoard and/or are struggling with mental health issues can have a place to get connected to resources, cleaners, classes, etc… to help them.

Remember that your worth is not tied to your productivity.

Remember that care tasks are morally neutral and don’t determine your inherent goodness.

Remember that your home should be functional for you and your family.

Remember that you don’t have to do it all, especially not all at once.

Remember that there is no shame in getting help.”
